So I have recently reached out to a client to create some work for them and found myself using this Prezi to present a presentation to them. It successfully helped to convey my idea and the client had a really positive response to it.
Here are the client's presentations that I made:

18/2 DMF seminar
Today we had a session with Matt where he brought the majority of the class up to speed with the use of Wikia pages. We also had to create an elevator pitch and pitch it to Matt. Mine was okay, but it needed more buzzwords to provide the flavour I think it was missing. Matt introduced the whole class to infographics and the uses of infographics, which was really useful. We saw examples of infographics and I searched up the superman to have a little bit more time to view it. It was a great way to quickly create a comparison between the different costumes.
Matt recommended we started creating infographics with a website called "Piktochart". I used the website to gain a feel for the tools of the site, however I find it is very simple and good for quick infographics. Its not something I would personally prefer to use as it is very limited in what it can achieve. I would prefer to use Photoshop to take full creative control of what would be exactly displayed on the infographic.
As Lou was ill today, only me and Tyler were able to make the seminar session and this gave me the chance to properly speak to Tyler to communicate ideas between each other. It will be best to have both Lou and Ty present, but we can just schedule a meeting this week. I have enquired about when both Ty and Lou will be free so I am looking forward to the meeting.
We also now have an infographic of the timeline of occurrences that happen in room 112, which Tyler created. I will be creating an infographic for the people who have stayed in room 112. It will be done in a similar to tally chart format.

11/2 DMF Changing groups
Today I came into the session and noticed that the members of my group are unable to attend the session due to them being the film festival in Berlin. This brought me a huge lack of confidence in the group as I enquired about a group meeting happening before the session today. I asked another group if I could join and came on board with Louise and Tyler's idea. Tyler was away, because he too had gone to Berlin, but Louise was in.
I showed the class (Me and Louise), the interactive YouTube button project I had created as part of the mini project. I have a list written down of the current transmedia elements we plan to create for the project.
Today was really useful as I was briefed on the project, but I hope to meet with the whole group soon to discuss ideas. I also created a Wikia page today, which will act as the hub of information for the project. I explored a few and found another wiki site called Wikispaces, however what put me off about this page is that it charged.
This hub of information allows for the group to have input at anytime. Me and Lou found some fonts, which I sent to her via email and CC'd in Tyler.

9/2 PC Social Media seminar w/ Caroline Nouvellon
Today we had a social media seminar with Caroline and the areas she discussed were incredible. It was a real credit to have her give insight into social media as a professional platform and I hope to have further sessions from herself.
I am particularly interested in self-promotion & marketing, so I am super excited to see what other areas she explores.
I hope to attend more sessions

9/2 Experimental Meeting
Unfortunately one member of the group were unable the meeting planned for today due to homely circumstances, but the group did manage to continue developing one of the ideas.
For the Shadow dancing season ideas, we discussed;
- colour schemes
- interactivity conventions
- possible sounds (Song from Insidious)
- themes
- shot style
- basic audience profile
- other influences
- additional elements
In all it was a good discussion, but I think the group will need to sit down and properly come together with some thoughts. I may start to develop some ideas to throw at the group to push ideas.

5/2 Experimental Meeting + Lecture
Today we had a lecture where Martine went over what required for task 1 and showed us a few examples of experimental films.
She recommended that anyone who didn't attend the session last week to catch up with the notes she posted up on Blackboard.
Here is a list of experimental terminology: Non-linear structure, personal view, abstract film, cameraless film, structural / format, found footage / collage film, underground film, video art, installation, expanded cinema, performance-based film.
Martine did not answer my question directly when I asked how many characters we are restricted to using in the narrative.
The group has to pitch 2 ideas in for the main pitch and have to pitch the 5 minute idea.
Some ideas for our project:
- 1st idea;
Explore the theme of desensitised violence in society.
The images we plan to use are of violence & archived footage of extreme violence
The sounds we plan to use are peaceful sounds like babies giggling
- 2nd idea;
Explore our character who would be a gory ballet dancer
The images we plan to use are of the dancer performing ballet in an all white outfit
The sounds we plan to use are destructive and horrible sounds like a violent chainsaw
- 3rd idea;
Explore the theme of seasons
The images we plan to use are shadow plays that will change colour to represent a different season.
We currently have no plans for the sounds
We were considering idea #2 with ideas #1 & #3 and making these ideas our focus for the next meeting.

4/2 DMF YouTube annotations
In class, Matt went over how to use annotations from YouTube to expand a narrative. I have some previous experience with using YouTube buttons and was very familiar with the project, however I did participate and created a small digital project that allows the viewer to navigate around university.
The link for this is below.

4/2 Meeting with Debbie
Today I had a meeting with Debbie to go over some of what we had already planned and to see what kind of thought pattern we should have. I have more notes about the meeting in my notepad, but it was very helpful the topics we discussed.

3/2 Guest Speaker - Julie Bower & Anton Short
Today we had guest speakers come in and speak to the class about different sectors of Media.
Julie Bower who is a TV producer & writer came in and spoke to us about the process of writing and about climbing the ladder in the television industry. I have more notes in my notepad
Anton Short is a freelance editor and came in to speak to the class about the editing process and the editing sector. I have more notes available in my notepad.
I also got to sit down with Amy and Kieran to go through some ideas and we came up with some really good ideas.

2/2 Guest Speaker - Nick Crossland
Today the class had Nick Crossland from Rocket (Sheffield) come down and speak to us about digital and interactive projects. He went through the process they use at Rocket to begin a digital project which was cool. I have more notes on the lecture in my notepad.
I also got the chance to speak to Abi and Kieran about our idea. We knew what we wanted to accomplish, however the game idea was leaning a little bit more towards a drama.
After speaking with Debbie, the group thinks it may not be best to pursue this idea as it would be ideal for a drama.

29/1 - 1/2 Emailing professionals
I already had an idea for what careers path I wanted to pursue, so I wanted to start reaching out to professional digital and experimental marketers. There have been a few marketing projects that have caught my eye and professionals I would like to reach out to:
1. Rahat from MagicofRahat
- Rahat is a globally established YouTuber who goes around pulling pranks on people, his pranks have been widely received by many audiences and even led him to his marketing campaign with Toyota.
2. Sherwin Akbarzadeh
- Sherwin is a established cinematographer and has had many projects in either advertising or marketing. His work has even featured on Vimeo Staff Picks and led him to work with Mini Cooper for a marketing campaign.
I have reached out to the both of them and Sherwin has already shown interest in an email interview and possibly a guest speak.

31/1 - 1/2 Website Creation
Now that I finished the crash course in Dreamweaver, I have begun experimenting with website creation. I have begun creating a site for myself without the guide to see how much I can accomplish. I look forward to seeing the end result.
31/1 Discussing ideas
Abi suggested the idea of doing quite the artistic piece, similar to Intervals. The piece would be very dark and would portray how accustomed to violence society is. She proposed it as an alternative to the video game idea incase Martine doesn't like our idea. I liked the idea a lot, because it would be very creative and would be a gritty piece.
As we were on the subject of "making a project that suits criteria" Me and Amy soon realised that Martine was a huge fan of French experimental film such as La Jette & Un chien andalou. We thought that if we made our main character or one of our main characters French and female, it would aid us in filling the criteria for the module.
The idea soon came to me that if we turned Abi's idea into a backstory for the French female character, we would be able to accomplish something that everyone could be happy with.
I managed to source a character who is female and French (Shermie from SNK) that doesn't have an over-exposed backstory leaving room for our group to fill as fiction. In Tuesday's meeting, I will discuss this with the group and let them know of my findings, however I do not want to completely bend to what lecturers/tutors want. I will adjust the rules to fit my project.
Shermie is actually a long-term character from King of Fighters and was in a band with another main character (Iori). I think we would be able to take Shermie from her universe and implement hers into ours and create a backstory about her growing up.

30/1 Creation of groups
Today in our session, we managed to luckily create a complete group. We were briefed on what we needed to do for our assignment, my main concern for both modules are how to complete the brief with my idea. The full group now consist of: Abi, Amy, Kieran and myself.
I proposed the idea to Abi & Amy to see if they were interested and they both seem pretty keen on the idea. I really like the ideas they put in as well as their views will differ from mine which will make for a more interesting piece.
I sent Abi & Amy the short film we watched in class called Intervals by Peter Greenaway as it was a concept for a short film.
