7/3 DMF Website creation and digital diary

I have completed the creation of my website and gone through the proper channels to hosting the site. I conducted research into low priced domains to see why one would be most suitable for myself. Some domains I came across were GoDaddy, Just host and ipage. Initially I believed GoDaddy to be the best as the online e-lecturer who provided the tutorial on how to operate Dreamweaver was promoting GoDaddy himself. I am sure it is a form of marketing, because once I had researched into the common problems of GoDaddy I became uncertain. Two deciding factors in my decision was the price and support. I wanted to register with a domain that offered sufficient support to its clients and did not hold a bad record for satisfying customer queries. I also wanted to a lowest priced domain too. After comparing different domains I noticed that many of them have very similar problems and that it was very subjective. I understand that companies like these won't always have support available right away.

I chose to go with ipage for my domain and have now purchased my domain and uploaded my site. It accomplishes what I set out to achieve and I am happy with it. It works as a online hub of information for myself and provides a method of contact for anybody to get in touch. There are things I would like to change so it will be an ongoing process of taking down the site and updating it, but I am happy to finally have it all ready.

The site is visualsofasimplist.co.uk

The name of the site reflects my style of creativity.

I noted how frequently I used and accessed social media in a day to gage how important social media is, I was quite shocked by the results.

07:48 - Snapchat via phone
07:52 - Facebook via Laptop
08:01 - Tumblr via Laptop
08:17 - Facebook via laptop
08:45 - YouTube via laptop
09:03 - Instagram via phone
09:04 - Snapchat via phone
10:15 - YouNow via laptop
11:07 - Snapchat via phone
11:55 - Tumblr via laptop
13.00 - Snapchat & Instagram via phone
13:59 - Snapchat via phone
14:28 - Twitter via phone
15:12 - Tumblr via laptop
15:15 - Snapchat via phone
16:19 - Fiverr & Facebook via laptop
16:50 - Facebook & Snapchat via phone
17:08 - Twitter via phone
17:27 - Instagram via phone
18:03 - Snapchat via phone
20:00 - Whats app via phone
21:23 - Instagram & Snapchat via phone
21:49 - Facebook via pgone
23:30 - Snapchat, Facebook and Instagram via phone

These results show that I am constant and consistent user of social media, what makes it even more shocking is I believe my usage is a lot more than this as it became difficult to record each time I access a different form of social media. Considering the results, this is probably similar for audience profiles similar to myself meaning social media is really a great tool for communicating information to others like myself.
