Today I met up with the group for the first time, we discussed the idea the group had push forward from yesterday's meeting, which I couldn't make due to my submission. The idea is to create a drama around a pole dancer who goes to work, however whilst on her journeys she contemplates on the struggles she has been in the past with people trying to argue against, because of the pole dancing. To the woman, pole dancing is her escapism as she can express herself.
Inspirations come from Sign Language (2010) and Lana Del Ray - Ride
The key moments are split by:
- Pole dancer travelling to studio
- The flashbacks of the arguments she relating to pole dancing
- Pole dancer entering pole dancing studio (not revealed its a pole dancing studio)
- Pole dancer starts to warm up (to connote sport or hobby)
- Pole dancer interacts with pole, which reveals pole dancing
- Pole dancer begins dancing and she looks elegant (most likey; slow motion, glow, well exposed shots)
- Pole dancer finishes practicing and gets her things ready to go to work, her actions and props connote her job
The group has quite a bit pre-production to do as we have actors coming next week
